KDA By-Law Update

April 19, 2010 

Dear Members: 

As you may have heard, Kentucky Dressage Association is in the process of updating our by-laws.  The current ones are so antiquated that the By-Law/Policy & Procedures Committee felt that a complete re-write was necessary. 

As you may be aware, changes to the by-laws must be voted on by the General Membership.  Below you will find links to 1)  the Proposed By-Laws, 2) the current By-Laws, and 3) the Voting/Proxy Form.  The Proposed By-Laws have already undergone the scrutiny of the Committee, the full Board of Directors, and an attorney who reviewed them for us.  Thus, we feel that they are ready to present to the General Membership. 

Voting will take place May 27-30 during the horse show.  If you are not able to attend, please feel free to fill out the Voting/Proxy Form and either e-mail it to myself at charastev@yahoo.com or mail it to:  PO Box 624, Simpsonville, KY  40067.  If you are mailing the document, it must be postmarked on or before Thursday, May 20, 2010.   

If you were not aware, there will be a General Membership meeting at our annual show on Thursday, May 27, 2010 one hour after the last ride.  We hope to see you there or at one of the events that we are planning in 2010!
